Tamworth Lyceum Live Event Space Illustrated Backdrop
  • Ben Cosgrove                                                                    March 29 | $15

Something indescribable happens when you see Ben Cosgrove perform live.  You can listen to his recorded compositions and imagine yourself in a favorite landscape, tune out the world around you.  But, seeing him hammer on his piano keys in person is a sort of religious experience difficult to put into words.  Live at the Lyceum is a favorite stop for Mr. Cosgrove, join us to experience a beautiful score inspired by the natural world.

Ben is a traveling composer, pianist, and multi-instrumentalist from New England. He performs regularly all over the country, writes scores for films, plays, radio, and television, and has produced several well-received albums of original instrumental work that straddles a line between folk and classical music. His “electric and exhilarating” live performances are at once dazzling and intimate: music that has been described as “stunning” and as “compelling and powerful,” all presented with warmth, honesty, and “the easy familiarity of a troubadour.”

  • The Western Den featuring Sam Moss             March 1 | $15

The first time the members of the Western Den stepped out of their car to play the Tamworth Lyceum, we knew we had some incredible people on our hands.  These guys are proof that kindness and immense talent are not mutually exclusive.  Welcoming them back for their second performance in Tamworth is a complete pleasure for our crew!  Their new album comes out in May 2018, but get yourself a ticket and hear some of their fresh tunes live at the Lyceum.

Formed in February 2013, and driven by a shared passion to create music with purpose, The Western Den is the collaborative work of Deni Hlavinka and Chris West, who together, blend compelling lush harmonies with ambient textures to produce a sound all their own. They released their debut EP, ‘Battle Hymns’, in May 2013 and premiered themselves to the public, opening for Melissa Ferrick on the northeastern leg of her national tour, in the summer of the same year. They have since shared the stage with artists such as Tall Heights, Saintseneca, Lucy Dacus, Mark Erelli, Paula Cole and the Boston Pops.
