Transcendentalism is alive and well, and new text is being printed off Chandler and Price presses in New England. Wood Thrush Books is home to a one very busy man: Walt McLaughlin. Hailing about 10 miles south of the Canadian border, Walt has been compiling an extensive body of non-fiction nature writing from his personal experiences, and self publishing. Many of his books are painstakingly hand printed off a historic Chandler & Price printing press, with simple nature motifs adorning the cover. This sort of gumption is something the Tamworth Lyceum can get behind!
